Two Hit and Run Drivers Hit the Same Victim

Posted on May 17, 2016
A man has died after being hit by two hit-and-run drivers in Queens early Sunday.

According to authorities, surveillance video shows the man falling into the intersection and being struck by one vehicle. The first vehicle to strike him sped away from the scene of the accident without stopping.

The accident happened at the intersection of 115th Avenue and 131st street at approximately 2:30 a.m.

Police investigators also have determined that a black SUV also struck the victim and fled the scene of the accident.

No further details about the accident have been released.

Any driver involved in an accident regardless of the circumstances is required by law to stop at the scene of the accident and to notify authorities. A hit-and-run driver is clearly in violation of the law and when they are caught, there are serious consequences. This is especially true if there are serious injuries or any fatalities involved.
