In our practice, accidents involving left hand turns are common and are usually caused by a distracted driver, or a driver who fails to yield to oncoming traffic, or misjudged the speed of oncoming traffic. Unfortunately, when that driver makes the left turn, a crash occurs that often results in serious injuries to whomever they hit. In this accident, a cyclist is extremely vulnerable, since they do not have the added protection an auto mobile may provide. In many cases that involve accidents where a the victim suffered injuries caused by a drive of a left turn, there is a high chance of a successful settlement or verdict in court.
