Anne J. D’Elia has been practicing law for more than 35 years, and she specializes in white collar crimes including disability fraud, mail fraud, medicare fraud, wire fraud and health care fraud. Other areas of practice include Child Custody, Child Abuse and Neglect, Adoption, Contract and Commercial, Business DUI / DWI and Guardianship.
Ms. D’Elia earned her Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law in 1996. She began her legal career as a staff attorney for the Legal Aid Society of New York and is a former Associate of the Law Offices of Lawrence S. Goldman. Ms. D’Elia is affiliated with the American Bar Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, New York State Bar Association, New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, New York Criminal Bar Association, New York City Bar Association, Queens County Bar Association, and the Queens County Women’s Bar Association. She currently sits on the executive committee of the Criminal Justice Section of the New York State Bar Association.
Awards include the Cathy Bennett Overall Best Advocate Award from the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; the Best Advocate Award from the National Institute of Trial Advocacy; and the Award for Excellence, Moot Court Competition & Trial Advocacy Programs from the Trial Lawyers Section of the Nassau and Suffolk Counties Bar Associations.
