Drunk Driver Kills Patchogue Father of Three

Scott Albrecht, age 43, was killed by a drunk driver Friday December 17, 2010. He was on his way home from work, when he was killed by a drunk driver. Scott worked with the computer software for Stop & Shop Supermarkets. He was driving on Montauk Highway when Steven Tolar of Shirley crossed the center line and slammed into his work van. Scott died shortly after the accident at the scene. Tolar, age 53, was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries. He has a previous record for an array of criminal misdemeanors. He was charged with driving while intoxicated. Scott Albrecht left behind a wife and three young children. He will be missed during this holiday season.
