A hit and run driver responsible for the death of two men in Brooklyn early Monday has been arrested.
According to authorities, the accident occurred at around midnight when the two men were walking together after dinner. They were at the intersection of Fulton and Chestnut streets when they were both struck by a speeding Acura TL sedan that was travelling westbound on Fulton Street. After hitting the two men, the driver got out of the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.
Surveillance video caught the entire incident on video. Efren Lanfranco-Perez, 21, of Brooklyn, was arrested and is believed to be the culprit. He has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
