East Meadow Accident Lawyer- Charges Added to Driver Who Killed Two

James Farr, 33, was arrested during the early morning hours on Aug. 23 following a crash that claimed the lives of Thomas Occhiogrosso, 27, of Riverhead, who was crossing Hempstead Turnpike near Conti Square Boulevard with his brother, 28-year-old Joseph Occhiogrosso of East Meadow, when they were both hit by the BMW driven by Farr.Investigators said Farr had a blood alcohol content of .21 percent, more than twice the legal limit .
On Monday, Farr was indicted on two additional charges of second-degree manslaughter and two counts of criminally negligent homicide. Farr's attorney is claiming that since Hempstead Turnpike is one of the most dangerous roads on Long Island that the accident was unavoidable. He also claims that the victims were intoxicated. A funeral was held for both brothers in Westbury .The brothers had grown up in East Meadow and still took care of their mother who lives there.
