Drunk Driving Accident on Long Island Expressway

On July 5th, 2010, a drunk man driving down the wrong side of the Long Island Expressway, crashed his Mercedes-Benz into an airport shuttle bus. Both the drunk driver and the shuttle operator survived the initial collision, however, they each sustained severe injuries. According to reports, the impaired driver had a BAC of more than twice the legal limit. Following the accident, the two men were sent to New York Hospital Queens for treatment. The driver of the Mercedes has been charged with a DUI and reckless endangerment.
