Brooklyn Hit and Run Driver At Large

BrooklynA hit and run driver responsible for the death of two men in Brooklyn early Monday is still at large.

According to authorities, the accident occurred at approximately 12:00 a.m. when the two men were walking together after dinner walking at the intersection of Fulton and Chestnut streets  when they were both struck by a speeding Acura TL sedan that was travelling westbound on Fulton Street.   After hitting the two men, the driver got out of the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.

The two victims have been identified by police is Delmer Maldonado, 41 and Israel Turcios, 56.  Maldonado was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident while. Turcios was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he later died as the result of injuries he sustained in the accident.

So far no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.  The accident is still under investigation.
