BP to Pay 20 Billion in Compensation

BP has agreed to establish a 20 billion dollar compensation fund for those who have been affected by the horrific oil spill. The 20 billion dollars will be put into an escrow account that will then be managed by an independent third party. The account will be used to compensate the many small businesses, fishermen, and regular day people of the Gulf region who have been adversly affected by the spill. The agreement came after the public pressured BP to do more in order to help those whom the company has hurt.
