If I slip and fall at work, can I sue my employer?

In most cases, if you fall or have any type of work-related injury, you cannot sue an employer. The State's worker compensation laws have specific guidelines and cover this type of injury claim. If a third party is involved, such as a subcontractor on a construction site or a hired electrician, then you can bring action if they were at least partially responsible for your injuries.
