Long Island Mail Fraud Lawyer

Sometimes you don’t make the right decisions in life. We’re fairly certain Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg did not, as he recently submitted a resignation letter to the presiding officer of the Legislature before pleading guilty to eight counts of mail and wire fraud Wednesday. Yup, that’s right eight counts.

Originally, Denenberg pleaded not guilty in the Central Islip courthouse, but he admitted billing $2.3 million to Port Washington computing company Systemax Inc. for legal services he never performed. Judge Joanna Seybert told Denenberg that he faces a $250,000 fine and up to 57 months in a federal prison.
