Father and Son Firefighters from Long Island Have Special Bond

John Mooney from Williston Park and Sean Mooney from North Massapqua are father and son However their bond goes beyond father and son. They are both New York City firefighters. But thats not all. For the first time in the Fire department's 145 year history they were promoted at the same time. Joh Mooney became promoted to deputy chief assistant of the academy and son, Sean, became a lieutennant. To set the record straight there are hundreds of father and son firefighters but none that have received promotions at the same time.
At our office we have represented firefighters for injuries on the job, car accidents and other incidents which have caused injuries. We can say that without question these men and women have a special character trait that, quite frankly, is missing from most of us. These people run into burning buildings when the rest of us are running in the opposite direction. They thrive on saving the lives of human beings in horrible situations. Having had our former New York City office only 3 blocks from the World Trade Center we saw first hand the bravery of these public servants. It is an honor to salute John and Sean Mooney. If you are a member of the fire dpartment and need our assistance for a legal matter including injuries from an on or off the job accident visit us at our website.
